Out and about in snowy conditions? We’ve got a beautiful, warm felted wool boot for you. Meet Kyrgies’ Nomads, our latest answer to everything Jack Frost can throw at you. Whether it’s shoveling the drive or snuggling in apres ski for an IPA, our new Nomads punish snow and cold with the naturally-insulating properties of felted wool in a cozy mid-calf style.
We modeled our Nomads on the classic Russian Valenki, traditional winter footwear worn on the snow-swept steppes by nomadic Russian people for generations. Like Valenki, our Nomads are go-to shoes for a severe frost, and paired with a pair of your favorite socks they provide unfailing warmth and durability in dry, snowy conditions. Nomads come in three colors and their flexible shafts mean you can flip them up or down depending on preference or how many inches of fresh powder fell last night.
Note—like Gremlins, Nomads don’t like to get wet. So save your Nomads for snowy rather than rainy winter weather (anybody down for a little tailgating at the foot of the mountain?)

How can I keep my Kyrgies clean?
As we’ve said above, your Tengries should be kept far away from water. If you have an unfortunate accident involving bacon grease or similar, we recommend a quick trip to your nearest dry cleaners.
