Kyrgies come in European sizes. We have created conversions to US sizing based on extensive feedback from our customers over the years. Generally speaking, we suggest you follow our conversion. If you are in between sizes, we suggest that you order up. If you have a low volume foot, adding a pair of insoles to your order is a good way to get the correct length and without the slipper feeling too wide and roomy. For detailed information about sizing, please refer to our sizing guide on this page. 

Kyrgies does offer barefoot style slippers with a zero drop between the heel and the toe. These styles include: Classics, Wovens, and All Naturals.

All other styles have an extra piece of felt in the heel that is 4mm wide. While not quite "barefoot" a 4mm drop between the heal and toe is still considered "low drop."

Our Molded Sole and Classic styles are our narrowest styles because they are built on a narrow mold.

We also suggest adding an insole to your order. Insoles do a great job of filling up the excess volume in the shoe. They also add more cushion to your steps.

For feet EEE width or over, check out our All Natural Kyrgies. Built on a wider and flatter mold, they are roomier than any of our other other styles, and can easily accommodate an orthotic insole.

Our traditional models are meant for indoor use. Stepping outside in your leather sole Kyrgies won't ruin them, but it's not what they made for.

Our Nomad and Walkabout styles for men, women, and children have a rubberized soles that created specifically for outdoor wear. These soles are durable and can be worn outside extensively. They can even be worn in cold snowy conditions. We still don't recommend getting your wool felt uppers very wet. They will absorb water and slush and won't be very cozy at that point.

We don’t recommend it. All Kyrgies are made from felted wool and can easily shrink or lose their shape in the washing machine. It can also cause the leather soles on certain styles to bleed. If your Kyrgies are looking a little dirty, try spot cleaning with a dry brush, or if necessary, a gentle wool-friendly detergent and a damp cloth.

Dry cleaning is also an option.

All Kyrgies styles are made from warm, durable felted wool sourced from small family farms in Kyrgyzstan, where sheep herding is an important cultural tradition. The wool is then felted in a generations-old process at our partner factory in Kyrgyztan’s capital, Bishkek. Our All Naturals collection uses vegetable-tanned leather from Kyrgyzstan. To avoid the toxic chromium used in tanning conventional leather goods, our artisans use gentle extracts derived from quebracho and mimosa trees. 

To achieve the vibrant colors of many of our Kyrgies styles, we rely on low-impact acid dyes that do not contain toxic chemicals or mordants (which fix the dye to the fabric), require less rinsing and have a high absorption rate in the fabric.

Kyrgies ships every order from our own warehouse in North Chesterfield, Virginia. Please note, that we operate during normal business hours and that your order is picked and packed by and actual person. From time to time, we may get backed up a day or two. 

Orders are typically shipped one to two business days after the order has been placed.

Minimal packaging is near and dear to the Kyrgies sustainable ethos. Kyrgies are not shipped in a cardboard box. We ship each pair of Kyrgies individually in an envelope partially made of recycled materials.

Single pairs usually ship in a paper envelope that is made of 50% recycled content with a varying amount of PCW/PCR waste. These are 100% recyclable.

Multiple pairs often ship in a poly mailer that is made of 100% recycled content and is 100% recyclable.

We are only shipping to Canada at the moment. However, we do have stockists in several countries that you can order from, please see below.

Your satisfaction is our number one concern. If you are unhappy with your Kyrgies, please let us know. Our return policy lasts 60 days. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Our main customer service email account is hello@kyrgies.com. Please note that this email account is managed by a real person that works normal business hours. If you send an email on Friday afternoon or over the weekend, expect a response on Monday.

Initiating Returns within the United States:

Exchanges and refunds: If you have an issue with your size, style or color and would like to initiate an exchange, please visit our Returns Portal. From there you can download a shipping label and start to process your exchange or refund.

Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Late or missing refunds: If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at hello@kyrgies.com.
