Product Care

To maintain the longevity of your Zero Waste Kimono:

  • Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle
  • Use mild detergent and avoid fabric softeners

  • Iron on low if needed
  • Store in a cool, dry place

By following these care instructions, you help preserve the fabric’s natural softness while reducing environmental impact.

Sustainability & Craftsmanship

French seams. Double-stitched hems. Bias-cut drape. Balanced weight designed for years of daily wear. Looks great on any body.

Zero Plastics

From earth's materials alone, we craft each piece using zero plastic and only natural elements.

Biodegradable

Each piece returns naturally to the earth, designed to break down completely without a trace.

Made in the U.S.A.

Sewn by our production partners in Fall River, Massachusetts, a historic capital of the American textile industry.

Zero Waste

Crafted with precision and purpose, using methods that transform every bit of material into the final product.

The fabric

We searched for a material that drapes like silk and breathes like linen — and found it in TENCEL™ Lyocell, a fiber made from sustainably grown eucalyptus wood pulp. It's produced in a closed-loop process that recovers and reuses over 99% of its solvent to prevent pollution. The end result is not only sustainable but silky to the touch, naturally breathable, biodegradable at the end of its life, and plastics-free. Machine washable.

Creating Kyrgies

Made in the USA

Kyrgies’ commitment to traceable and sustainable supply chains has inspired the creation of our Zero-Waste Kimono, proudly made in the USA. Each piece is sewn in Fall River, Massachusetts—the historic birthplace of the American textile industry—by skilled American workers earning fair wages in safe, clean working conditions. Made to order, just for you.

Creating Kyrgies

Compostable & Biodegradable

Our Kimono isn’t just biodegradable—it’s fully compostable. Made from 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell, a sustainable and earth-friendly fabric, it’s designed to return to the earth when its life is finally over (which, we hope, won’t be for many years). When that time comes, simply cut it up with scissors and toss it in your compost bin. It will naturally decompose and leave no trace behind.
