Out and about in snowy conditions? We’ve got a beautiful, warm felted wool boot for you. Meet Kyrgies’ Nomads, our latest answer to everything Jack Frost can throw at you. Whether it’s shoveling the drive or snuggling in apres ski for an IPA, our new Nomads punish snow and cold with the naturally-insulating properties of felted wool. 


We modeled our Nomads on the classic Russian Valenki, traditional winter footwear worn on the snow-swept steppes by nomadic Russian people for generations. Like Valenki, our Nomads are go-to shoes for a severe frost, and paired with a pair of your favorite socks they provide unfailing warmth and durability in dry, snowy conditions. 

Note—like Gremlins, Nomads don’t like to get wet. So save your Nomads for snowy rather than rainy winter weather (anybody down for a little tailgating at the foot of the mountain?)

How can I keep my Kyrgies clean?

As we’ve said above, your Tengries should be kept far away from water. If you have an unfortunate accident involving bacon grease or similar, we recommend a quick trip to your nearest dry cleaners.

New to Nomads

This is my first pair of Nomads (but the 11th pair of Kyrgies I've purchased! I get them for everyone). Now that fall weather is here I think the Nomads are a perfect choice for keeping the ankles warm. I'm finding that the clean, uniform and unbranded aesthetic of the Nomad can even be dressed up a bit. I'm always amazed by how supportive Kyrgies are (physically, but now that I think of it; emotionally as well. Definitely a comfort shoe). I'm sure I will wear them until the soles wear out, and beyond.

Great shoes and excellent customer service

I would definitely size down but the shoe itself is great quality. i can’t wait to wear it during winter next year. Had to return it for a smaller size - the customer service was excellent - prompt and responsive. Overall 5 stars!!!

Doesn’t fit!
